Tiny Houses known as Micro Flats Possibly a Solution to Part of Housing Shortage

The UK housing market continues to face a massive issue within the capital city limits and beyond according to the latest data. By the year 2020, the issue of shortage of housing is expected to reach its peak in many areas creating a serious problem for many. This problem is constantly being worked on by the government, but many close to the housing market think the issue will persist. Some are making living arrangements in tiny houses known as townflats.

These townflats are about 200 square feet in size and have many of the amenities of a standard size house. Many kitchens are decked out in Bosch appliances and have several drawer systems which are engineered to maximize space and storage. Bedrooms are typically located in a loft area with storage in each step leading up to them.

Some townflats are designed with laundry rooms in the space below the bedrooms. These small areas surprisingly include a full size washer, ironing board, and a hanger system for wet clothes just below the ceiling.

Townflats carry with them the ability to sit in many small areas which are not much larger than a standard car park. These small residences are now being sold for a range of prices, many of which are much more affordable than a standard size house. The townflats are also being rented to many who are looking for housing in the city or just on the outskirts for a quick commute into town.

As the housing shortage issue remains a top priority, current homeowners are dealing with a dilemma themselves. Many are now weighing their options and selecting a remortgage which suits their financial situation. Housing experts are warning those who have not remortgaged to try and complete the process before a possible interest rate hike goes into motion.
